Jayco J-Pod 2020.2

Australia’s number one caravan manufacturer announces exciting new upgrades to the Jayco J-Pod

Jayco Australia’s popular J-Pod range is packed full of new features, making it the perfect RV for Aussie couples and single travellers looking for a compact, lightweight caravan for big weekend adventures.

Designed and manufactured at Jayco’s state-of-the-art facilities in Dandenong South, Victoria, the upgraded Aussie made J-Pod range features a new shape comprising a sandwich panel one-piece roof, which allows for a fixed-glass 160W solar panel.

The new design also includes an internal fibreglass wall finish, new rear door design, upgraded rear LED taillights, bed lights with inbuilt USB ports, LED roof strip light and redesigned roof rack rated at 300kg, suitable for the soon-to-be-released ‘Escape by Jayco’ optional rooftop tent range and batwing awning.

“Since its inception, the J-Pod has been a popular choice amongst weekend warriors and those who love to get back to basics and emerge themselves in nature,” said Jayco National Sales Manager, Scott Jones.

“We’re very excited to announce the new upgrades to the J-Pod. We’ve listened to our customers and taken all their suggestions on board, so we have created a J-Pod that builds on the current platform and delivers customers the ultimate compact product they’ve been asking for,” he said.

The Jayco J-Pod has two models in the range – the Sport and Outback. Both models can sleep up to two people and also feature an innerspring mattress, large under-bed storage, 100-amp battery, 12v lighting and 12v 45 litre sphere fridge. The J-Pod has a tare weight starting from only 790kg so it’s easy to tow and store.

“The J-Pod opens up a whole new world of RV travel to a new generation,” said Mr Jones.

“Over the last 12 months, we are seeing more and more younger Australians taking advantage of caravanning and the J-Pod is the perfect RV for young first-time caravanners. The J-Pod was designed with adventure in mind and this compact caravan is fully equipped to carry equipment such as a kayak, surfboard or a bike on the roof, making travel and adventures easy and fun,” he said.
